In addition to pursuing his other business interests Mr. Forsberg provides technical consulting to PATE PIERCE & BAIRD in the areas of nutritional supplementation and biotechnology.
Background

Mr. Forsberg is the founder and president of Peregrine Research, a consulting firm specializing in natural products formulation, development, and marketing. As such, he has broad experience with natural products, raw material processing, finished product manufacturing, gallenical development, quality control and assurance, clinical validation, safety and toxicity assessment, analytical techniques, and associated regulation. Before founding Peregrine Research he directed Research and Development for Solaray (Nutraceutical Corp.) and Nature's Way.
Mr. Forsberg’s unique ability to bridge the gap between hard science and business realties has allowed him to both generate and participate in the creation of some of the industry's most successful products. He has developed and introduced more than 250 new products generating in excess of 100 million dollars in sales annually. Mr. Forsberg also has extensive experience in international business development, particularly in Asia where he lived for three years. He currently does extensive work in assisting companies with acquisition, licensing, and distribution agreements domestically and abroad.
Mr. Forsberg is active in industry trade groups in the U.S. and internationally and recently concluded a three-year elected term on the Board of Directors of the American Herbal Products Association where he served as the Government Relations Committee Chair. In 1995, Mr. Forsberg was requested to testify before the Presidential Commission on Dietary Supplement Labeling and Regulation regarding nutritional product claims and consumer education. Mr. Forsberg has lectured extensively on nutrition. He is a frequent speaker at industry trade shows sponsored by the National Nutritional Foods Association and New Hope Communications. Mr. Forsberg has also spoken as an invited lecturer at the Functional Foods conference hosted by the University of Illinois, Nutracon 1996, and at the Natural Pharmacy 2000 Conference.
